If you’re creating a new garden or reinventing an old one, then Ellerslie Flower Show is the place to be tomorrow!
From 4pm Show visitors can get through the gate for a mere $2, with an hour to check out the plant sale before the big sell-off starts at 5pm.
Peter Cox, General Manager of Ellerslie Flower Show, says the plant sale is an annual attraction, a time for people to come back to the Show and purchase goods that caught their eye earlier in the Show week.
“If you’re looking for plant bargains this is the place to be, so come on in and get gardening!”
As well as plants on sale, Ellerslie Flower Show materials used to beautify the site, such as roses, will also be available for purchase. Retail sites will also be likely to discount their stock in the last hour.
Entertainment will run throughout the day at the Show, with children’s entertainers roaming the grounds and the Manukau City Council Cultural Performance Garden scheduling some fantastic acts for the last day of the Show.
Performances scheduled for tomorrow include entertainment sensation Soifua, the Morris Dancers, Belly Dancing, Kapa Haka and many more.
“Sunday is a great day for the family, it has a nice pace and historically it’s quieter and more relaxed than Saturday. The weather is looking great and there are lots of entertainers for children,” says Mr Cox.
Family tickets are an economical way to see Ellerslie Flower Show, priced at $75 for two adults and two children. Service fees apply.
Ellerslie Flower Show 2005 has been Like Never Before, with innovation, inspiration and floral delights. The Show concludes its six day run at Auckland Botanic Gardens tomorrow and tickets are available at the gate.
